Raised in Manchester, Connecticut. Served in US Navy during Korean War. Graduated from UCSB and employed by Santa Barbara County with local agency formation commission.

A long time Goleta resident. Plans are for his remains to be sent to Goleta Cemetery to be placed with wife Betty in private ceremony.
