Leaders from six major nonprofit foundations will gather on January 18, 2012, 1-4 p.m. at the Fleischman Auditorium at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Board and staff members for nonprofit organizations are invited to attend. The meeting will begin with small-group discussions (with panelists listening in) to discuss strengths and current issues facing local nonprofits. The panel discussion will then focus on collective impact: how nonprofits and funders can work together to achieve their goals and objectives.
Nonprofit foundation executives who are committed to attend include: Palmer Jackson, The Ann Jackson Family Foundation; Tom Parker, Hutton Parker Foundation; Barbara Andersen, The Orfalea Foundations; Martha Harmon, The Santa Barbara Foundation; Michael Towbes, The Towbes Foundation; and Emily Neumann, The Weingart Foundation.
The convening is chaired by a group of volunteers who consult for the nonprofit sector in Santa Barbara: Meredith Benton, Judy Hawkins, Dr. Lynn K.
