Ojai and Cuyama area residents spoke out at a Santa Barbara County Planning Commission hearing on 7/11 against a proposal from Diamond Rock Mine to run as many as 138 gravel truck trips a day along Highway 33. Ojai residents fear the trucks will ruin the safety of their roads and Cuyama residents expressed concern about the mines’ impact on their water table.
