McCune Donates Whopper Sum to Cottage Hospital

Sara Miller McCune, founder of Sage Publications, donated $2.5 million to Cottage Health System’s massive remodeling effort. The money has been earmarked for the construction of a new medical library. Cottage is in the midst of a $550-million construction campaign, spurred by state seismic retrofit requirements. McCune donated $100,000 last week to the legal defense effort of Jerry Roberts, the former News-Press editor who was sued by paper owner Wendy McCaw after he resigned last July.
