• Garden Court Senior Residence will be holding a Sock Drive for the residents of Casa Esperanza Homeless Shelter during the month of November. Please bring new or gently used and clean socks to Garden Court, located at 1116 De la Vina Street.

• Bici Centro is hosting Power to the Pedal: The Pleasant Revolution, on Saturday, November 24, at Casa de la Raza (601 E. Montecito St.). The event features a free bike repair from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., followed by a Funky Bike Ride at 5 p.m. See oso, The Ginger Ninjas, and Shake Your Peace rock out with the help of a bicycle-powered, 800-watt PA system.

•Learn how to be a volunteer for the American Heart Association at a special training meeting at the Heart House on Tuesday, November 27. The event takes place from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the Heart House is located at 212 West Figueroa Street. Call 963-8862.
