Postal Service Collecting Food Donations

Santa Barbara Residents Urged to Put Food in Mailboxes This Saturday


Santa Barbara residents are encouraged to leave food donations in bags next to their mailboxes this Saturday, December 13. Postal workers in Goleta, Santa Barbara, Carpinteria, and Montecito will be delivering food to area charities.

Canned foods or unopened non-perishables are greatly needed for less fortunate residents this holiday season. High-nutrition items are suggested, like canned fruits and vegetables, meat, cereal, etc. The food will be collected by letter carriers throughout their routes. Food donations will remain in the communities in which they are donated, so help support our fellow community members.
