Renowned pianist Warren Jones shares his musical skill and experience with Music Academy of the West fellows in a vocal masterclasses on Saturday, July 5 at the Lobero Theatre. Warren Jones has earned praise from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as “a singer’s greatest partner” and from the New York Times as “matchless.” As accompanist, Jones has performed with such acclaimed singers as Denyce Graves and Salvatore Licitra. Jones has also appeared as a guest artist with the Juilliard string quartet, and is the principal pianist of Camerata Pacifica. He has made international appearances at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
A long-time favorite of the Music Academy and a member since 1993, Warren Jones offers his first vocal masterclass at 3 pm on Saturday, July 5, at the Lobero Theatre. Admission is $30. Jones will offer fellows and audiences more opportunities to benefit from his vocal coaching in two other vocal masterclasses at 3:15 pm on Friday, July 11 and Friday, July 25 in the Music Academy’s newly refurbished Hahn Hall. Admission to the latter events is $18 ($16 for students and seniors).
