    Organization Sponsors Fun, Exploratory Summer Excursions in Santa Barbara County

    Throughout every summer, the local chapter of the Sierra Club offers many fun, educational, and awe-inspiring hikes so Santa Barbarans can explore their county. Here are a few highlights from this season’s schedule:

    • Saturday, June 20: Tequepis Trail—Climb up the north side of the Santa Ynez Mountains. (11 miles; moderate difficulty. Call 705-3025.)

    • Sunday, June 21: Ennisbrook-Valley Club Loop—Follow Ennisbrook trailhead up to the Summerland Reservoir. (5 miles; moderate difficulty. Call 964-5411.)

    • Sunday, July 5: Goleta Beach—Hike along the beach at low tide, then up onto More Mesa. (4.5 miles; easy. Call 965-9953.)
