    Throughout every summer, the local chapter of the Sierra Club offers many fun, educational, and awe-inspiring hikes so Santa Barbarans can explore their county. Here are a few highlights from this season’s schedule:

    • Saturday, June 20: Tequepis Trail-Climb up the north side of the Santa Ynez Mountains. (11 miles; moderate difficulty. Call 705-3025.)

    • Sunday, June 21: Ennisbrook-Valley Club Loop-Follow Ennisbrook trailhead up to the Summerland Reservoir. (5 miles; moderate difficulty. Call 964-5411.)

    • Sunday, July 5: Goleta Beach-Hike along the beach at low tide, then up onto More Mesa. (4.5 miles; easy. Call 965-9953.)

    Call the phone numbers above for times, start locations, and information about carpools to meet-up sites. RSVPs are requested.
