News to Yous

HOMEWARD BOUND

This Saturday, June 5, at 2:45 p.m., Garrison Keillor returns to the Santa Barbara Bowl for a live broadcast of his popular radio program, A Prairie Home Companion. The show also features live music from Nickel Creek’s Sarah Watkins. For tickets, call 962-7411 or visit sbbowl.com.

MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU

It was announced last week that the Santa Barbara Symphony was forced to cancel its annual free July 4th Pops concert in the County Courthouse Sunken Gardens. A major decrease in funding is behind the cancellation, which will save the symphony over $72,000. For info, visit thesymphony.org.

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

On Thursday, June 10, the popular bi-monthly Nights events return to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art (1130 State St.). Starting at 5:30 p.m., the museum will play host to crafts, drinks, and live entertainment, including music from KCRW deejay Jeremy Sole. For tickets and info, call 884-6414 or visit sbma.net/nights.
