The Santa Barbara High Dons can clinch the “city championship” in football tonight (Fri., Oct. 29) when they face the Dos Pueblos Chargers at DP’s Scott O’Leary Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The Dons have already beaten San Marcos. The Chargers, who play at San Marcos next week, not only can put itself themselves position to nab the city title, but they can stay in contention for the Channel League crown. The Chargers are 1-0 in the league and 4-3 overall. Santa Barbara is 1-1 and 2-6.

Bishop Diego hosts Grace Brethren on Saturday night at La Playa Stadium in a showdown between Frontier League leaders.

Cal Poly ended the Gauchos’ seven-match winning streak with a 2-1 overtime victory Wednesday night, dropping them to 6-2-0 in the Big West.
