Wandering Dog Wine Bar Offers Worldwide Tasting.

There are times that wine tastings can go to the dogs, and even in a good way. It’s probably not a surprise, then, that aptly named Wandering Dog Wine Bar in the Santa Ynez Valley might offer up a special event featuring a raffle to benefit the PAWS Parks of the Santa Ynez Valley, a nonprofit organization dedicated to off-leash recreation for dogs. On Saturday, October 2, 1-4 p.m., the Wandering Dog World Tour will span the wine globe at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum (3596 Sagunto St.). Event-goers will enjoy wines from Italy, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, South Africa, and Chile, get to break the wine-tasting with beer-sipping from England and Germany, all while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and desserts and live flamenco guitar by Santa Barbaran Chris Fossek. So leave yourself in the capable paws of this Wandering Dog, who insists, “We encourage you to try wines you’ve never heard of from producers you didn’t know existed in places that you never thought produced wine.” See wanderingdogwinestore.com or call (805) 686-9126.
