Too old to trick-or-treat? Attend one of these fun, adults-only Halloween events in the S.B. area this week:

• 3rd Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest and Fall Wine Tasting: An evening of ghoulish delights, including a pumpkin-carving challenge judged by S.B. celebrities, a tasting of wares from Kunin Wines, and more. (Fri., Oct. 28, 5:30pm. S.B. Contemporary Arts Forum, 653 Paseo Nuevo. Admission is free. Call 966-5373.)

• Boocara! Trick-or-treating for all ages, followed by a sampling (for 21-year-olds and older only) of eerie edibles and creepy cocktails at the Boocara Bar, Ouija board games, and a costume contest.
