Michael Magne Passes Away

Michael Magne, the former owner of A Skaters Paradise who’d run several times for the Santa Barbara City Council, died last week from complications connected to a massive brain injury he’d sustained the previous year in a skiing accident. Prior to his accident, Magne — an athletics enthusiast — had been active in downtown business affairs and through various city boards and commissions had promoted active recreational opportunities for kids and teens.
