County Office of Emergency Management Conducting Test with L.A. Sheriff’s Department

As part a communication systems test on Tuesday, the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management will be coordinating with a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s helicopter. The copter, said officials, will likely fly over the areas of Isla Vista and Winchester Canyon between 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Winchester Canyon residents may also notice fire trucks in the area, which will be working with the L.A. air unit.
