Helping with Horses

Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center Looking for Volunteers

Do you like spending time with horses? And helping people? If so, you may want to sign up to be a volunteer this summer at Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center. Volunteer jobs are myriad: You can work on the upkeep of the facility, tend the garden, help with event planning, or take care of the horses, to name a few opportunities. You can donate one or two days a week for 12 weeks, or sign up for the Hearts Summer Horse Experience and work with riders five days a week. You must be 14 years or older to qualify for the program. Volunteer orientations are the second Wednesday of each month, 5:30-7:30 p.m. For more information, call (805) 964-1519, email, or visit
