A 39-year-old man is being treated for life-threatening injuries after being shot in the abdomen on the Eastside Sunday night.

Police responded to multiple calls of gunshots at 7:22 p.m. and found a man lying in the street in the 1100 block of Bregante Lane. He was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

SBPD Sgt. Riley Harwood, in a press release, said additional details are being withheld and the investigation is ongoing. There is no indication the incident is gang-related, he said.
