Three days after the 10/18 statewide ShakeOut earthquake drill, a 5.3 earthquake rattled Central California followed by four aftershocks that registered 2.5 or above on the Richter scale. Centered near King City, the tremor could be felt as far away as San Francisco and Lompoc. It didn’t cause any damage. USGS geophysicists said the quake struck in a seismically active area close to the San Andreas Fault.

The Lookout Fire was the real drill.
Just like the 1906 San Francisco EQ, that my Grandfather witnessed at age 17, a major South/Central Coast EQ will entail many wildfires, the question will be if the Resources will be available to fight all of them at once and if the roads and airports will be open.
Sobering thought.
