Chamber of Commerce Picks New Leader

After a nearly year-long search, the Santa Barbara Region Chamber of Commerce board has selected a new leader. Ken Oplinger will descend on Santa Barbara from Bellingham, Washington, where he has been president of that area’s chamber for a decade. Previously, he held the same position in Visalia. Last May, Steve Cushman announced his retirement somewhat abruptly after a 24-year run at the helm of the Santa Barbara Chamber.
