A man arrested for allegedly exposing himself to students at Dos Pueblos High School pleaded guilty and was sentenced last Wednesday to three years of supervised probation.

Jonathan Mendoza, 21, pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of engaging in lewd conduct and one count of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger on May 15 of last year.

As part of his probation, Mendoza must engage in sex offender treatment as recommended by the Probation Department, must stay away from the victims and from Dos Pueblos High, and must not possess any weapons, according to Deputy DA Gary Gemberling.

According to authorities, Mendoza was on the football field when he exposed himself to a group of female students. Authorities were able to identify Mendoza, who lived a couple of blocks away on Mendocino Drive, and arrested him.

I am getting tired of typing this but I will do it again anyways. Santa Barbara just loves their sexual offenders.

I disagree with the comment above. I have a suggestion.....and I believe it will work! when some perv exposes himself everyone (and I mean everyone boys and girls yells "EEEEW!!!!!!!!!"

AND ALSO calls 911 and someone follows him..........he will be arrested. And stopped.

this is the only wayl

billclausen: Hahaha!

I'm guessing this piece of work will be arrested again for exposing his "dirk" before too long.

Why should this guy have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life?? The girls were only a few years younger and they are in high school so it isn't like they haven't seen that before, and I doubt he was forcing their eyes open and forcing them to look at it, all they had to do was look away.

I'm not saying what he did shouldn't be 'illegal' and he shouldn't get arrested for indecent exposure.. but why water down the system and lump this guy in with people who molest children and force themselves on other people? If there's going to be a published list of sex offenders and there are 6 dots in my neighborhood, but 4 of the dots are guys who pissed in public and one of them is a guy who was 20 and had sex with his 16 year old girlfriend and the other is some guy who when he was young may have been tricked by some high school girls into exposing himself (wasn't reported, but plausible) then the sex offender database is useless.. On the other hand, if everybody in the sex offender database had been found guilty of rape or molesting children, then when you see a red dot in or around your neighborhood it actually MEANS something.

This guy very well may just need to get laid and grow up a little.

The urinating in public charge is absurd.

It isn't like they haven't seen that before? Really loonpt? It kind of sounds like you are condoning this kind of thing.
