Free Meals Summer Concert Series Begins

State of Grace and The Voice of Reason rocked out at Bohnett Park last Friday for the first event in the Free Meals Summer Concert Series where kids receive free meals — without any paperwork or qualifications — while enjoying performances by bands associated with The Rockshop Academy and Notes for Notes. The event was organized by Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign and a host of local partners such as the City of Santa Barbara and the school district. Over 22,000 children in Santa Barbara County are “Food Insecure.” To find free meal sites in neighborhoods throughout the county, text Food4Kids to 877-877.
