The Santa Maria City Council on Thursday will hear the three appeals filed in response to the Planning Commission’s approval of a new Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in town. The Planning Commission meeting saw thousands voice their opposition; the appeals — filed by homeowners, the League of United Latin American Citizens, and Community Initiatives for Visiting Immigrants in Confinement — allege the building will negatively affect the area’s health, safety, and property values, and be an eyesore. The hearing starts at 3 p.m. at the Santa Maria Fairpark.

Question for those opposed to the ICE facility: Would you also be for open borders for every other immigrant group from around the world and would you also favor language services in the 100+ languages for those groups?

Perhaps the Billionaire Boys Club elite(Many of them Ivy League-educated) that runs Mexico and condemns anyone in this country who dares bring up the negative consequences of the open border cheap labor scam can address the fact that they have messed up Mexico so badly that people are willing to risk their lives in order to get out of there.
