The United States seems to be slowly dipping its toe into the cool pool of more sustainable transportation, and Santa Barbara is no exception to this trend.

The growing concern over climate change, the need to stay healthy and active, the desire to build a deeper connection to their children. Whatever the reason, from the morning work commute to preschool pickup, more people are opting to pedal rather than drive.

For the first time ever, U.S. cargo bike companies are specifically marketing bikes and attachments to parents of young children. The Seattle Family Biking Facebook group is over 1,200 members strong. Momentum is growing.
