Catamaran Catches Fire in Harbor

A 34-foot catamaran caught fire in the Santa Barbara Harbor at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night. City Fire and Harbor Patrol crews were able to douse the flames before they spread to any other boats at the end of Marina 2, where the Wizard of Bristol was tied up. “Boat fires have the potential to spread to other boats very quickly as most are made with fiberglass and wood products,” City Fire officials said on its Facebook page. There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
