On March 17, Santa Barbarans can join the sold-out crowd in Vancouver from afar and watch TEDtalks beamed live to The Narrative Loft over on Calle César Chávez. As always, the intellectual and emotional 18-minute programs by inspired and impassioned presenters run the gamut of topics. In roughly one-hour, 45-minute segments, themes from “what we think” — to be explored by neuroscientists and a geometric artist — to “out of this world” and “life stories” will be turned inside out in unexpected ways by folks with CVs as diverse as “space explorer” and “jazz pianist.”

The event is free, but seating is limited to 100 people. Reserve a space here. TEDtalks Santa Barbara takes place Tuesday, March 17, at 1 North Calle César Chávez, Suite 240, starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 6:45 p.m.
