5/30-5/31: Baseball: San Diego Waves at Santa Barbara Foresters For the fifth time in nine years, the Foresters will open their two-month season as the reigning National Baseball Congress champions. In a pregame ceremony this Saturday, they will raise the pennant they won at the NBC World Series in Wichita last August. The weekend will also feature the debut of longtime major leaguer Dmitri Young as Santa Barbara’s hitting coach. The Foresters will play 26 home games in addition to hosting the California Cup tournament July 2-5. Sat.: 4:30pm; Sun.: 1pm. Caesar Uyesaka Stadium, UCSB. $1-$6. Visit sbforesters.org.
