Cab drivers are asking for laws will change to make legal 60 second stops to pick up fares
While there are some designated spaces for cabs downtown, spaces like this one outside the Wildcat Lounge are commonly filled with "V.I.P." patrons' cars and cab drivers claim that these vehicles never get ticketed.
One complaint from cabbies is that the get tickets for briefly picking up fares while trucks like this unload for 10-20 minutes, taking up multiple spaces and or park in the red

Cabs scatter as soon as a police car comes around the corner and slowly patrols up State Street.
Just moments after scattering away from a police car, that is now just one block up State Street, all the cabs are back in place hoping to get the fares from the closing clubs.
