Book Swapping

A new Web site, paperbackswap.com, allows bookworms of all ages to swap reading material for no cost. With members in all 50 states, the site already offers a library of 800,000 books, and it’s growing with each new member. All you need to do is send in some books you’re ready to part with, and then you can tap the vast library of faded paperbacks. With all that paper saved, it’s the perfect way to prepare for Earth Day.

Gross Volunteers

The S.B. Museum of Natural History is seeking volunteers to help with its new exhibit Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body. Based on the best-selling book, the exhibit explains to kids ages 6 to 14 why their bodies produce disgusting things. Anyone 13 or older is invited to train to be a volunteer for this exhibit, so email ekaufmann@sbnature2.org or call 682-4711 x107 by May 12.
