I greatly appreciate the move to provide permanent protection for Santa Barbara’s back country. I’m a long time visitor there – something over 40 years. It’s magnificent and untouched, with opportunity to see, feel, hear, explore the land as it was created, and to escape for a while the pressures of civilization. Without protection this unspoiled country would be vulnerable to gradual high-energy ‘development’ that is so common these days..
