I went to Junior High and High School with Nick Holzer. I knew him to be very off. I mean in a mental way!!!!!

On Court Records Shed Light on Holzer Murders

Posted on August 13 at 6:06 a.m.

Very Tragic!!! I live a few blocks from where this occurred. I knew and went to High School with Nick the accused and my 11 yr old knew and went to school with the youngest son. My son is devastated at the loss of his friend. I will pray for the the family and my heart goes out to them. As for my son, he misses his friend and I will hold on to my sons a little longer this morning and each and every morning until I am unable to hold on no more. Again my thoughts and prayers go out to this family.

Been very close on dozens of occasions to Saw-scaled vipers in the mountains of Afghanistan on a few Friday the 13ths. I'm glad to hear you look at Friday the 13th as a lucky day for you. Regardless of what kind of snake it was , it sounds like it scared you to the point of now having a different outlook on nature and life.
Friday the 13th is a lucky day for me as well.

How are you privy to such information as soldiers falsely receiving countless medals?
As a recipient of The Purple Heart I was injured in the line of duty. My injury was backed up by medical reports. You don't just receive a Purple Heart without a JAG investigation.

On Bowe Bergdahl Was Right to Walk Away

Posted on June 12 at 7:18 p.m.

As a combat veteran I completely agree that Bergdahl has the right to think and do as he'd like.

BUT Bergdahl had the option and a duty to ask to be discharged from the Army if he felt so strongly about his views. He could have then joined some NGO and helped the Afghan people that way.

Not walk away from his fellow Americans and put theirs and many others lives at risk. If he felt so much for human life he need only think about the lives around him who he put in jeopardy by his actions.

I can only speculate as to how many men and women lost their lives by his selfish decision to walk away instead of asking to be discharged.

And when I speak of human life around him and the men and women who lost their lives by his actions, I mean both Afghans and Americans.

ooshea - Yes your missing something. What the article fails to mention is that Vic Alvarez's father Vic senior is a Sergeant in The SB County Sheriffs Dept. The other family member I'm not sure about.
Vic Alvarez's photo from a past non related press article. He has the white polo shirt on the left.
