I was just out in Cuyama where they are currently laying down sensors over approximately 23,000 acres by helicopter. Little orange wires going everywhere. They are mapping the subsurface, and we can only guess what may happen next. In a region that already has water issues, with farmers overdrafting water wells, and groundwater tables continuing to fall. Scary.

Please don't get cranky about the road closures, and keep in mind Lance comments are already yesterday stuff. This is good fun and the event produces some serious cash flow to a lot business and employed locals! The distance these guys cover in a day is awesome! Let alone day after day.

A great example of how guns sway people into shooting first and thinking second. This is inexusable. This hunter has proven his inability to carry a weapon responsibly. And the hunt was over, they were hiking on a trail. Why have your weapon loaded and at the ready on the trail? What are you afraid of?
