To the Henning Family, I express my utter shock (and empathy) at what We The People now get from our so-called Government. I am a California Native of Basque descent who has researched the old Rancho History of Santa Barbara County. If I am correct, the area your Family owns is called 'Las Cruces', where Highway One meets 101 along the Gaviota Pass. A Basque Family named Loustalot were the early 20th Century proprietors of a Garage, Tavern and Inn at that site. A rich heritage of Santa Barbara Cowboy culture. The land there should indeed be zoned Commercial Highway, as it is a very special, viable Crossroads (Las Cruces) indeed.
