If you're going to bait your readers with the fact that Barrack "owns" Neverland aka Sycamore Valley Ranch, at least get the facts straight. Neverland Ranch is not 1200 acres, but closer to 2700 acres, although the majority of the land has not been developed.
In addition, Barrack does not own the ranch outright. Jackson did not "sell" the ranch as you suggest, rather he became a PARTNER with Barrack, who bought the mortgage for $23.5 million. (After MJ's death, the value of the ranch in its entirety has been estimated at between $80-$100 million. Clearly, the $23.5 million that Jackson owed on the property could have been paid and Jackson could have made a large profit, had he chosen to sell Neverland.)
Recent status report court documents, which are required every nine months by the judge overseeing probate, state that the Estate of Michael Jackson own 87.5% undivided interest in what is now known as Sycamore Valley Ranch.
It never ceases to amaze me that even 2 1/2 years after his death, journalists still use Jackson's name to gain readers, and willingly print misinformation.
