Now if only someone would re-open Be Bop Burgers the "funk" zone wouldn't look so ugly.

Lars- Are you suggesting that City College students are constantly responsible for all the bad stuff going on in SB?

Honestly people going back and forth wasting their breath by putting down total strangers is wrong. That being said about some of them comments on this story, I would like to put in my own comment, not against the people leaving their feelings on this situation.

This is an unfortunate event but one that does not consistently happen in the downtown bar area. Yes, I am sure that there are a few bar fights every now and then (possibly every weekened, I dont know) but not "brawls" such as the one that was described in this story. This fight was probably due to the fact that it was a holiday with more than usual traffic downtown.
Stuff like this happens on MAJOR holidays, its not something that we need to start worrying about every single night of the entire year.

I completely agree with everyone here. Music at a young age can give a child a good sense of who they are even before they can fully appreciate the music that they are listening to. Believe me it has helped me expand my taste in music as I have gotten older. I started out with the popular music when I was younger, and have expanded my taste more and more each year that I get older. I only wish more people my age had been influenced by other music when they were younger.

On Tea Fire Update

I wish people who leave comments would actually use their head before they start "ranting." Unless they are on the front lines fighting this fire, everyone needs to stop complaining about how the fire is not being contained. If the fire fighter were not doing their job up in the hills there would have been a lot more houses burned and possibly even deaths, so overall I consider our city relatively lucky.

Honestly this is the community spirit that Santa Barbara is all about! I know the firefighters are grateful that he had the forethought a long time ago to have that water main available.
