Not surprising the Milpas group's efforts to find equitable solutions would be painted as such - what else would they say? that Casa wants to work with you and find solutions? they may have to actually change how they are doing things and not serve every drunk and belligerent person who wreaks havoc on Milpas. The truth of what they do and more importantly what they DON'T do will come out if they come to the table with your group. Good reporting Independent. Can't wait to see where the Milpas group takes this!

There's no perfect solution but at least it's an attempt at a solution. I'm so tired of feeling like the City has just turned its back on Milpas. The truth is the City wants to maintain the status quo - because true compassion isn't letting people in need of mental health assistance, drug and alcohol rehab wander around lower Milpas - oh wait unless it means they aren't bothering the rest of Santa Barbara. Who cares it's only Milpas!! We do!! We want our neighborhood back. Das, Helene et al better start listening....tides are turning.
