It is this reason, why I left the Catholic Church, was after spending two separate weekends at the Mission Santa Barbara Seminary as a High school Teenager, and both times I was told by underclassmen NOT to come to the school if I valued my behind. That many of the senior staff and friers in training regularly sexually abuse the young males for their pleasure. I had spoken to my parents but they denied all of it saying according to Church doctrine that no man has any right to abuse another for sexual pleasure and yet they too turned a blind eye to the truth. I tried the police but was told it was a church matter and that they would handle it internally, I contacted my Pastor who said that the Order was its own and that they would handle it, I concluded truthfully that my observations and concerns would never be taken seriously by any authority and to tell my parents that if sent I would take the streets over being someones lap-puppet. I attended Dos Pueblos High School through graduation; 1985.

I like Tigershark's idea but the question still remains, is the Desal Plant capable of handling raw sewage or can it be converted and how much will that cost to convert and then keep it running well past the drought?

For a moment I was reminded of what my Grandmother looked like and was that little boy who counted pennies with my grandmother in her front foyer in a sleepy little town in Michigan as the morning sun came up. Your lucky Starshine to have your Grandmother still, mine is gone and I miss her...

Every Local Politician worth their useless salt knows that the only way to change a dangerous intersection is with a high body count. The Higher the ratio of deaths, and even better if those deaths recorded are of young children, can get a public to pound the pavement for signatures, stand in front of a News Camera and utter those deadly words to Thousands if not Millions of Voting viewers, "It's an Election year, what is being done to correct this growing death toll"? I am glad your son is not dead or crippled for life but really all your going to get from a stagnate City Council or County Board member is "we'll table this until later (When the Body bags start filling up the Morgue). Action is on your part and or your neighbors, you all have to do what your Paid Politicians won't do, change laws or enact safety requirements to unsafe or down right deadly intersections. As for the woman who hit your Son? After the Traffic courts are finished with fining her, sue the driver and then get after your Local Government, cause nothing hurts a Public (Not) Servant, more than upsetting their cushy easy money receiving, job than a threat to that is money job.
