GANG BANGERS. Hmmm.Let's examine the definitions of those two words, commonly used in conjunction with one another, in closer detail.

GANG:

1. a group of people with compatible tastes or mutual interests who gather together for social reasons: exmpl:I'm throwing a party for the gang I bowl with.

2. a group of youngsters or adolescents who associate closely, often exclusively, for social reasons, esp. such a group engaging in delinquent behavior.

BANGERS:

bang·er (bāng'ər) Pronunciation Key
n. Chiefly British

1. A sausage.
2. A noisy old car.

So let's regroup shall we?

I'm quite sure these "gang bangers" don't spend a lot of their free time honing there bowling skills so that definition doesn't quite fit.

They do indeed however, drive some noisy old cars.

Wait a minute!

"A group of people with compatible tastes or mutual interests who gather together for social reasons"

AND

" A Sausage"

It's all coming together now. A group of people who all really enjoy a good sausage.

I GOT IT!!!

" IT'S A SAUSAGE FEST!!!"

Now it makes all the sense in the world.

That's why I drink at the James Joyce, Dargan's, or better yet, Carr Winery on Salsipuedes St. Great Wine! Great Vibe! And no testosterone tortured douchebags throwin' down.

I mean really! Wouldn't you guys rather be sleeping in a girl's bed than in a jail cell? Anybody that still picks fights downtown should be sterilized because seriously, we don't need more of you running around!!

Ahhhh....is somebody a lil' hurt? I'm sorry buddy. Hugs all around.

But in all seriousness, your non-chalant, "I could care less" attitude towards the well being of any species other than your own, as clearly illustrated in your first post, is unfortunately too commonly shared by many others. Would you hook a pack of 15 children up to a sled and force them to pull you through the same harsh conditions for 1,150 miles? No, you probably wouldn't because that would be cruel. Furthermore you'd probably go to prison.

So then, why not the same for the dogs? They feel too.

Ms. Remorenko, LUCKILY, has a bit of empathy for this certain group of animals forced into slave like conditions for the cheap thrill of some person, who apparently cares as much for the feelings of non-human animals as you do.

See my point?

I'll bet you have your poor little kitty outside washing the car or mowing the lawn right now.

OSOTOH!!

YOU'RE A SICK FOOL!! I'm a cat owner as well! I'm willing to bet that you don't force you're cat to pull a sled through -25 degree weather for 125 miles a day. Because I sure don't.

Those dogs, being dogs and not humans, are forced by their owners(HUMANS) to pull the sled, as the musher(HUMAN...AGAIN) competes for some amount of cash prize.

That being said, I'm also willing to bet that those aforementioned dogs really don't want to be there doing what they're forced to do. Although they don't speak the language you and I do, they still have nerve endings, blood in their veins, and a point at which they succumb to overwhelmingly exhaustive conditions. In other words, you knucklehead, THEY FEEL PAIN!!

Did you read the story or do you just want a platform to sound off?

The only thing your cat's at the mercy of is your stupidity!

Have a nice day.

If found guilty, they should HANG in public. Maybe De La Guerra plaza. For everyone to see - including their own families. THEN and ONLY THEN will this tyrannical violence and its inevitable consequences likely begin to decline.

SevenDoplhins. Did you say the city college president should "implement an anti-drinking program"?

Under what rock are you living? Have you been to city college and I.V. lately?

They're college kids. They're going to drink. And more power to them. College is about learning your limits and when to say when.

Can you imagine the very first meeting of "SBCC's Anti-Drinking Day". Come one, come all. They'll be cookies, soda pop, and hugs for everyone. Back in my college days, I would have brought the bottle of rum to that shindig.

Not often that I say this, but good work DA Stanley!
