Ok Binky, tell me what IS the solution? Lay it out clearly and concisely so that we can come to a consensus and then vote on it and enact it into sensible policy. Otherwise, you are someone commenting on someone commenting. So where would you start? I was serious, you were......confusing, and without merit.

I don't know Mr. Hotchkiss and I don't work for or represent a corporation but if you believe your facts to be the case then the only solution you can proffer is to get ride of internal combustion engines.....ANYTHING else would be too little too late. Would someone from the "global warming is a fact" community please stand up and have the intelligence and testicular fortitude to explain that the only logical course open to us is a complete overhaul of the capitalist society we are so addicted to.

Around 1977 I brought a guy to Santa Barbara from Boston on my way to see friends at UCSB. He was a rep for S.B. Skateboards. I stayed with the guy who actually made the skateboards (don't remember anyone's name) and his girlfriend from New Jersey) but the most epic part of the trip was being take up into the hills to a abandoned mansion pool and aqueduct drainage that bled into a smaller I remember it. 30-40 kids parking illegally and commandoing it uphill to this spot So, what was this spot called and what was the history behind the location. The Last Tycoon type of place. Thanks for the memories, Spike
