You left out an important "knock" (as you call it) against these guys: they aren't very talented. And when you write something similar about Devendra Barnyard this week, I am going to say the same exact thing. Someday, you kids will learn to discern the difference between someone who has any talent and someone who is just lucky enough that people are stupid enough not to know the difference. Personally, I'd really appreciate some honest, accurate, informed reviews out of the Indy one of these days. Note the other comment.

The level of discourse in these comments is absolutely pathetic. And no one has the courage to use their name.
From what I understand Sally has done some great things for Harding, and therefore for the West Sde in general.
I'm the first person to be vocal and critical of the Indy and other things Santa Barbara I find unjust, but I always use my name.
Please Indy, consider removing all of the comments from these miserable trolls unless a real name is used and verified somehow.

Thank you, Indy, for giving some time and space to a hard working, down to earth Santa Barbara musician.

The point, Chester, isn't this artist's succes. It's the realitve lack of effort and experience required for Soho and the Independent to grant them a seat at the head of the table. Where I am as an artist, I certainly don't "envy" them. I expected responses to shift this matter back to me, as it ususally does, rather than acknowledge the real issue. Nice work Chester, you were first.

I think it's wonderful that an inexperienced new band gets a prime spot on a Saturday night at Soho and a featured write up in the Independent. It shows that annoying hard work, practice, passion, and experience don't matter. I can't wait for the glowing review with the who's who of local celebrity endorsements and a tally of real estate leads. Nice work DJ Palladino. The Santa Barbara music scene is alive and well and as healthy as ever. What an inspiration for other hard working musicians.

Wait until the opponents realize that bulb outs, including the additional landscaping, make the intersections look better and will likely raise adjacent property values. End of story.
