Dale Pavich-case worker for the 12 residents facing eviction from Casa del Mural-was placed on administrative leave on 4/18, the morning after he accompanied one of his clients to speak to the county Board of Supervisors. Supervisors were unaware of preparations to close Casa del Mural-one of the few long-term residential treatment options for the severely mentally ill-in order to save money in the Alcohol, Drug & Mental Health Services Department. Pavich’s supervisors are investigating potential violations of the civil service code.
