On 5/19, just before 11 p.m., police arrested two men who allegedly tried to pass counterfeit money at the Study Hall on lower State Street. According to police, William Shafer, 25, of Las Vegas, and Cameron Funkhauser, 29, of Ventura attempted to use $5 bills masked as 50s to pay for beer. The police were alerted, and both men were later arrested. The Secret Service was also notified of the situation.
