Hawaii-born, Santa Barbara-based surfer Janna Irons earned herself a berth in the semi-finals of the Roxy Women’s World Longboard Championships in Biarritz, France. The young Irons – who can frequently be seen at Rincon – narrowly missed out on a place in the finals, losing her semi-final by just two points to world champion Jen Smith.
