Landmarks Commission Rejects Arlington Condo Complex

A plan to build a 29-unit condominium behind the Arlington Theatre was rejected by Santa Barbara’s Historic Landmarks Commission last week. “They proposed a great big box of a building, and it’s not acceptable,” said commission Chair Bill La Voie. “The village on the outside of the Arlington has to be just as nice as the one inside, and it’s just not there yet.”
