A man suspected of brandishing a knife on the 600 block of E. Cabrillo Blvd. at about 10:20 p.m. on 10/15 was arrested after treading water for about 20 minutes. The man-who police later learned was wanted for parole violation-fled from police by swimming into the ocean, but eventually had to board a Harbor Patrol vessel due to fatigue and hypothermia.
