The Getty Foundation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services awarded grants totaling $400,000 to UCSB’s University Art Museum so that it may fully digitize two collections by architects Irving Gill and Kem Weber. Museum staff will either photograph or scan the materials and then upload them to an online database, facilitating the process of searching for specific artifacts. The museum will also use grant money to post technical information about other on-site collections.
