A two-day sting operation based at a house in North County resulted in the arrests of 31 allegedly unlicensed construction contractors. According to the California Contractors State License Board-which led the operation, assisted by district attorney’s and sheriff’s investigators-the suspects made deals to refurbish, roof, and landscape without the license needed to perform jobs valued more than $500. They each face jail time or fines as high as $3,300.
