DP Opens New Performing Arts Center

In an official ribbon cutting ceremony featuring performances by music students, the Dos Pueblos High School Performing Arts Center had its grand opening on 11/27. When DP was first built in 1966 a planned theatre was aborted due to lack of funding. The new 750 seat facility-complete with a sunken orchestra pit, control room and multiple classrooms-was made possible by Measure V funding passed in 2000.
