According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department, deputies attempted to stop a motorcyclist on 12/27 for an unspecified traffic violation in Santa Maria. The driver did not stop, so police pursued the driver until he collided with an SUV. Police said the driver of the SUV complained of pain and the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital. The motorcyclist faces charges of evading police.
