To hear Santa Barbara-based Network Hardware Resale tell it, the market for preowned computer networking equipment is gathering momentum-last year, NHR claimed to have added 2,600 new customers to the 10,000 it already had. On May 12, NHR reported results from a survey of 400 North American clients, most of them large companies with more than 1,000 employees and $100 million in revenue, according to NHR. The poll found that their top five reasons for buying used equipment are savings, responsiveness, product availability, rapid delivery, and warranties.
