Camp Ronald McDonald

Thu May 15, 2008 | 06:00am

In California alone, 1,100 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times is a year-round camp for children with cancer and their families, providing a cost-free week filled with fun activities such as horseback riding, archery, crafts, and adventure courses, but the camp needs hundreds of volunteers to be counselors, activities coordinators, doctors, and nurses to make that happen. Volunteer nine days this summer for an unforgettable week, gaining valuable leadership and life skills, creating extraordinary memories, and making a difference in the life of a child! Camp Ronald McDonald is holding interviews for potential volunteers in the Community Affairs Board offices at UCSB on Tuesday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. Check out campronaldmcdonald.org for dates, more information, and application guidelines.
