A Docent Proposal

The Santa Barbara Museum of Art is currently on the lookout for people of all professions and backgrounds interested in becoming docents. Volunteers need not have previous experience in the arts, and training sessions will be provided. For an application or additional information, contact Rachel Krieps, the museum’s Coordinator of Education Programs, at 884-6441.

My Giants

The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History will be holding a training session on Sunday, June 1, for individuals interested in volunteering with the museum’s GIANTS: African Dinosaurs exhibit. No experience is required, and volunteers must be at least 14 years old. To RSVP, or for more information, contact Rebecca Fagan Coulter at rcoulter@sbnature2.org or by calling 682-4711 ext. 107.

It’s “Complicated”

The recently postponed May 6 Avril Lavigne concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl has been officially cancelled. Due to previously scheduled international engagements, the Grammy-nominated pop singer announced that there is simply no other time to route the show. Ticket holders should contact their point of purchase for a full refund.
